Sunbed
Your body temperature can rise a few degrees under the sunbed. This depends on the time you are under it and how high the temperature of the sunbed is. In addition, it differs per person to what extent your body temperature rises.
It is not recommended to use a sunbed for the first time during pregnancy, because your body is not used to the temperature rise. It is also better to avoid the sunbed for the first three months, because a high body temperature gives a slightly increased risk of birth defects in the baby.
HIGH FACTOR
If you already sunbathed regularly before the pregnancy, you can continue doing this when you are pregnant. It is wise to use a sun cream with a high protection factor to prevent pigmentation spots on your face. It is also important to listen carefully to your body. As soon as you feel unwell, dizzy, or short of breath, you should stop immediately.
Please note: sunbathing is not exactly good for your skin, even if you are pregnant. Sunbathing under a tanning bed has no negative effect on your unborn baby, because the UV radiation does not penetrate into the womb. But for you too much UV radiation can be harmful, because your skin ages faster.
