peeing a lot
Especially at the beginning and end of the pregnancy, pregnant women report that they must urinate a lot more often.
CAUSE
In the beginning of your pregnancy, a lot of extra blood travels to your uterus, causing it to swell pretty quickly. After a few weeks, your uterus is already the size of a large pear and weighs heavily on your bladder. This means you must urinate faster and more often. Your kidney flow is also increased, making you thirstier, drink more, and therefore urinate more. The influence of hormones also makes you urinate more.
After four months, your uterus grows upwards and puts less pressure on your bladder, which means you don't have to urinate as much. Towards the end of the pregnancy, when your baby's head is bigger and lies somewhat deeper in the pelvis, the pressure on the bladder increases again. This causes you to have to urinate more in the last few weeks.
