With a healthy diet it is not necessary to take extra vitamins. Pregnant women who still want to use extra vitamins and minerals are advised to choose a multi-preparation especially for pregnant women and to use the recommended dose. This provides the right amount of folic acid and is safe.

RAW MEAT

Do not eat raw meat or products made from raw meat during pregnancy. For example, red steak, American fillet, ox sausage and roast beef. Toxoplasmosis can occur in raw meat.

RAW MILK CHEESE

Cheese made from raw milk and raw milk should not be taken during pregnancy. These products can contain listeria. These are soft cheeses with the word 'au lait cru' on the packaging.

VITAMIN A

Too much vitamin A in pregnancy is harmful to the baby. Therefore, do not eat more than one sandwich a day with meat products that contain liver such as liver sausage, liver pate, pâté, Hausmacher, Berliner and liver cheese and do not eat liver.
