Mood swings
The production of hormones during pregnancy can sometimes cause you to feel as if you've entered an emotional rollercoaster. This can happen especially in the first few weeks of pregnancy and towards the end.
CAUSE
Especially the increase of the hormones estrogen and progesterone causes mood swings. In addition, other things such as uncertainty, complaints and ailments also play a major role in your emotional well-being.
TIPS
- A healthy lifestyle. The better you feel in your own skin, the smaller the chance of mood swings. Make sure you get enough sleep, exercise and eat healthy and regular.
- Make it discussable. Tell your partner or someone else close to you about it. By talking about it, you can often put things into perspective.
- Do you notice that, despite repeated attempts to make it better, you do not feel comfortable in your own skin, please let us know during the consultation hour. We can then look for a solution together.
