Forgetful

During your pregnancy you can be quite forgetful and absent-minded. You may also be assailed by mental slowness or dreaminess during the day. Your ability to concentrate is impaired, and conversations around you no longer seem to interest you (enough).

This phenomenon can occur throughout your pregnancy, and it often becomes more pronounced as your pregnancy progresses. People sometimes call it pregnancy dementia. Fortunately, it disappears completely after your pregnancy.

CAUSE

Progesterone causes the part of your brain where your memories are stored and retrieved to work slower. In addition, lack of sleep and possible stress and strain due to all the changes in your life also cause you to sometimes forget things.

TIPS

  • Don't worry about it.
  • Take rest and get enough sleep.
