Risks at home

  • Never leave your baby alone on the changing table, bed or couch. After the first works, your baby becomes more and more mobile, it always happens when you don't expect it.
  • Another risk is the stairs. It often happens that a parent with child falls on the arm of the stairs. Don't leave clutter on the stairs that you can trip over. Make sure you have a good stair railing.
  • Install smoke detectors in case a fire breaks out. The sound of the detector allows you to quickly leave the house with your baby or to extinguish the fire yourself.
  • Do not leave your child alone with his younger sibling. The same goes for pets. Even if it's just for a while and they get along well.
  • When your child becomes more mobile, other measures are necessary, such as child-friendly sockets and stair gates.
  • Take a first aid course for babies and children so that you always know what to do.
