All the courses are in English and with your birth partner

• Four-weekly course: Four evening prenatal classes of two hours over a 4-week period and one reunion with the babies. This course is a wonderful opportunity to meet other international couples in the same stage of life and continue meeting them once your babies are born
• Compact course: a one-off, four-hour Childbirth Preparation session on a weekend afternoon
• One-weekend course: two sessions of 3½ hours on a Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning
• Individual course: an intensive 2½-hour childbirth preparation session, just for you and your birth partner in the comfort of your own home; or as a refresher course
• Preparing for Parenthood (in pregnancy): a live online session of 2½ hours on a Sunday morning on what you can expect from a newborn, when to swaddle, how to soothe. Many practical tips

The content of these childbirth classes is more or less the same. The longer the course, the more information we can share with you and the more time you have to interact with other couples. In all courses we take the time to practise various breathing exercises during labour, and cover a number of back massage techniques that can be very useful during labour. We look into pain relief possibilities, so you can make an informed choice.

Truus Gale

Is an experienced Dutch midwife who worked at Puur for 23 years. Founder and owner of Childbirth Class Gale, married to an Englishman, specialised in preparing expectant expat couples for having their baby in the Netherlands. Since a couple of years, we have been working with a team of experienced childbirth and parent educators.
